I always have this little telescoping rod in my truck. I almost always have a small hip pack with a little bit of tackle. Well, I had used the hip pack for something else and the one crappie jig tied on was all I had! I’m glad I stopped!
Usually this place is pretty packed. Lot’s of people come down here to get shad or silver carp for bait. I wasn’t setup for that, nor do I normally use live bait, but I’ve had success with bass and sunfish down here.
It was also some beautiful weather for mid December! Temps in mid 60s, almost no wind, sunny with some beautiful clouds. Definitely watch for the sunset at the end!
