Here's To Finished Projects
It may take a while ... but I usually get them done.
Tonight I finally finished the bridge on my upright bass. The bass wasn't incapacitated, just not quite adjusted perfectly. The D and G strings were high compared to the A and E strings. I purchased the bridge with adjusters with the intent of having the strings set pretty low when the adjusters were all the way down (I nailed it on the top strings ... they were low and fingering notes was amazingly easy) but raising the bridge would give me more clearance for slapping. I finally have those options but now I just have the bridge set somewhere in the middle. I can get my fingers under really well but the fingering action is pretty smooth overall.
