Ramblings From Justin Penney

The Rumblejetts have been visiting my humble studio space to produce a 4 song EP. Last week we got the meat of the record and the vocals hammered out in an evening. Tonight we added guitar solos and melodies.

Jud, drums, is an old friend of mine and we have played together quite a bit. For this recording The Rumblejetts adapted a song from the first (possibly second depending on how you break it down) band that I played with Jud in. It's amazing to hear a sing that I sang and played 12 years ago!

The rest of this week will be the "listen" everywhere stage. I've got a CD and I am taking it everywhere with me. So far I've listened in my studio (includes monitors and 3 types of headphones), in my living room, and at my computer. I've got the car, the truck, my speakers at work, and my iPod left. After that sampling I am usually pretty happy with my notes and the changes get pretty easy.
