Heroism
Or, simulated rock heroism.
Tonight I caved in and played Guitar Hero III and I didn't hate it. Actually, I played it for about an hour straight. I was never a full on Guitar Hero hater, but I figured since I can play guitar, I have no reason to play the game. Now I see the reason. It's silly and fun. The songs are fun and ingrained in your head. The play starts easy enough to feel like you are accomplishing things and it gets harder as you move up.
I don't see the real guitar playing a hindrance, or a help, but I do think it could spawn interest in kids playing guitar. And hopefully to bring guitar based rock back to the forefront of pop culture.
