Ramblings From Justin Penney

I can pretty much only get about a year out of a phone. Today my Moto RAZR started flipping out and making a squealing sound in the 15 kHz region. My wife loved it when I would open it and the squealing would make her skin crawl. I had been talking about replacing the RAZR for quite a while as the lower buttons were pretty intermittent. Especially the "0" key.

I picked up a Samsung Blast. I've been texting a lot more lately and the pseudo qwerty keyboard was a good feature. It's not as good as the full qwerty like on a Treo or a Sidekick, but it is considerably smaller than a Sidekick and, hopefully, won't lock up every two seconds like the Treos are prone to. It does feel a little cheap and plastic compared to the RAZR and the other personal electronics I have (Canon SD100, 30 GB iPod Video) but it looks nice overall. So far it functions pretty well. I'm sure I'll post about it if it sucks.
