So I have a cold. It sucks. I've been blowing my nose for the last 3 days and eating Ricola cough drops like Switzerland that I think they are running out of all natural herbs. I have a prescription for Allegra-D which is Allegra with an extended release pseudoephedrine. It works pretty well, though never the full 12 hours. So I took one today and it helped. I know the Allegra isn't doing anything and that it's jsut the pseudoephedrine that is making me feel better.

We went to the store after visiting with family and I went to the pharmacy department to get some Sudafed. I knew that it was behind the counter but I didn't realise what all had to be done to buy a damn decongestant. You have to write down all your info: name, address, license number; in a book. Then they check your ID and finally you can pay for it in the pharmacy only. Oh yeah, they also ask how recently you've bought any products with pseudoephedrine, if this is your first time buying at that location and then they right down how many milligrams is in the amount you purchased. So I handed her my license and she said, "Sir, I can't sell this to you."

I about crapped my pants! I've never even taken meth, let alone try to make it. What made her decide to deny me? Turns out my driver's license expired in December. I hadn't even realised that. So I was pissed, my nose was running all over the place, I'm sore, I'm tired I just wanted some Sudafed and to go home! I yelled a little and then got Jacey to get it for me.

So now I'm pissed. I felt guilty the entire time just buying a decongestant and I think it's an encroachment on my freedom. I know that pseudoephedrine is used to make meth, who doesn't. Does meth still exist? YES! Make all the laws in the world and people will still find ways to get high! Right outside the pharmacy there were cases stacked 7 feet high of Busch light. The cold remedy aisle had many variations of cough and cold remedies containing dextromethorphan, an often abused halucinogenic. I could buy all that I want without having to go into a database of known purchasers.

Now that I feel like a criminal I almost feel like I should make a little batch of meth, I have already been made to feel like a criminal.
