Ramblings From Justin Penney

The album is done and mastered! We had Keith Kaster at Low Key Productions do the mastering and we're all really happy with the way that it came out. After we did a test mastering we took it back and re-mixed quite a bit, even re-did one guitar part. Now we need to get on the artwork...

Everything is so clear. I mean every instrument, voice... everythign is very clearly heard and in it's own space. However it doesn't have that cohesiveness that recordings have when everyone plays together. We did drums and bass, then guitars then vocals. Lately it seems that just makes for a separated recording. We've been recording some His Last Chance practices and we just setup like a band, mic everything throw a room mic up and bring up the faders. It really sounds powerful and together. This is my favortie way to record.
