Ramblings From Justin Penney

I recently added another year to my history. Along with that comes presents! Now that I'm an adult and self-sifficient I don't put as much stock in presents as I get most of the things that I really want or need.

Jacey did an excellent gift giving job this year. Ever since we saw the Violent Femmes for her birthday I've been enamored with the Bajo Cajón, a afro-cuban/flamenco box drum. I've mentioned a few times that I would really like one but it would just be extravegant since I don't play a Cajón.

This really was a perfect gift: completely unexpected, something useful, something that I wanted, something that was completely not sensible for me to buy.
