I Agree With The Catholic Church
According to this article the head of the Pontifical Council for Culture says that Darwinian theory and the book of Genesis were "perfectly compatible."
This has been my view since high school and I never understood how people could not at least see this as a possibility. In my optimistic view this would maybe open eyes, however, they are called "Protestant" for a reason. I wouldn't dount that there are more than a few congregations that are using this as even more reason to fight science.

The idea here is that Creationism is not science vs. religion. It is the religion of one scientist vs. the religion of another.
