Ramblings From Justin Penney

Last night we went to the Concordia fall fest. I had been a time or two when I was younger but I can now get the full effect by attending the beer garden. The Friday night parade has traditionally been a pretty baudy affair with lots of completely lewd floats. Apparently there were a bunch of changes this year and it was tamed down considerably. There were a few floats that were alluding to disliking the parade now. So the parade was overall a let down from my childhood memories.

The beer garden was awesome. You buy some mugs emblazoned with "Heidelberg Beer Gardens." My mom was always a fan of the beer garden and growing up there were always lots of these mugs in our cupboards. You just go and buy pitches of beer, sit in communal style on long picnic tables and get hammered. I hammered a little too hard as I am a little slow to start today.
