Growing
Is it ok to just be happy where you're at? Do you always need more money. Do you always need new things?
Blue Springs (the town I live in) is "growing" I call it sprawling. There are new shopping centers (they used to be called strip malls but that doesn't sound nice) popping up everywhere and the same vacant ones are still vacant. Wal-Mart has left another building making 3 bohemeth post buildings and only 1 has a tennant. At the intersection of the two largest road (7 Hwy and 40 Hwy) it's nearly vacant. But they are trying to build more.
There's a large one, the "largest shopping center in Blue Springs," as it was touted during the lead up to construction. There's a nail salon and an Army recruitment center. There used to be a Planet Sub... but it went out. So did the CheezSteak Company but that was in a different strip mall, I just miss those two places. So large and empty.
K-Mart left a big empty hole. Wal-Mart left a big empty hole (but created a large new place to suck away more money from lower income families by selling them cheap groceries as well). White Oak Plaza is damn near empty. Just sad. It's really sad to so annexation of land and development when there's all this empty eyesore that no one is maintaining everywhere!
