Ramblings From Justin Penney

Lily had her first piano lesson today. When I went in to Meyer Music they alluded to her being too young for piano lessons. Something about not paying attention... I dunno, I quit listening.

So I signed her up for a month anyway. She started by learning some basic things about the keyboard and the numbers that represent her fingers. About half way through the instructor came out and looked at me and asked if I thought I would have the time to help Lily with theory if she worked that in. Of course theory is not problem for me. Anyway... I got the impression that the teacher wasn't expecting to recommend the theory curriculum as well. The woman that was hesitant about signing up said, "Well, it looks like she did really well!"
