Bush keeps mentioning that Senator Zell Miller, Democrat from Georgia, is supporting him. It's supposed to make it OK for democrats to vote for Bush.

That might be a good strategy if Zell wasn't the most insane person in the world! Senator Miller gave the keynote address at the Republican national convention. In case you missed it he was the very angry guy that doesn't think there should be voting if we're at war. Of course he didnt' say that, actually John Stewart did a good satire on it, but that's the gist of it. Something abotu the Democrats being bent on taking down the commander in chief. Yeah... well it is an election year, and it's still (at least in appearance) a democracy so the Democrats are going to put someone against Bush.

So after the address crazy ole Zell was interviewed by Hardball. He started off early by telling Chris Matthews, "I wish I was a little closer so I could get up in your face." Of course he trumped all that with a later comment about how, "I wish we lived in a time when you could challenge a man to a duel!" That's the guy I would want supporting me the completely crazy homicidal man. This guy actually makes Bush look like he may have a little of that "compassion" in his "compassionate conservatism."
