Mixer for Sale
I'm selling my old mixer finally. I've gone mixerless after getting the MOTU interface so I need to get rid of this. This is a Peavey MS1621. It's a 16 input board with main outs and 2 monitors (a four buss techincally). Here are pictures. and below is a list of features:
- 16 mic/line inputs
- Send/return on each channel. These are pre-eq so it's great for recording as you get just the signal from teh preamp
- Channels 15 & 16 are selectable to use the RIAA phono preamp
- There are four busses: the main (L/R) busses and two monitor busses. There is also a "Master" bus but I never used it.
- 9 band EQ per bus
- 3 band EQ with sweepable mids on each channel
There are some things that need to brought to attention. First channel 13 needs a new XLR jack. I have a close-up picture of it. The channel does work through the line in and the XLR connection works but the solder is broken away. This is an easy fix. The onboard delay and reverb do not work. I never used (or needed them). Also outside jacket of the power cord is bare. The individual wires are fine but this should be looked at if the mixer will be moved often.
Now that the disclosure part is over... this thing sounds great. I used it for the preamps (direct outs into my soundcard) and monitoring. Compared to the Behringer mixer that this replaced the sound is a lot more pleasing overall. The high end (over 5kHz) is much smoother and listenable than the Behringer. The overall sound is "bigger" overall, just a much more listenable sound overall
I'm asking $300 or best offer. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Also, if you want to come and check it out that's fine as well, just fire off an email and we'll work it out.
