Nostalgia by Melody

Before I get in to the meat of this post... I finished up with The Monarch Song tonight. They came down and we finished the mix and edits and went ahead and mastered a CD. This has been an awesome project and I'm proud to have been involved with it.

I need help identifying a song. I don't remember much about it but a friend had it on a mix tape a LONG time ago. The Kids in the Hall Theme reminds of it because it has a twangy kind of guitar melody. The only thing I remember is the melody of the first part of the chorus and it goes:

"Little kings and queens, keep on..."

...and then I don't remember what they kept on.

Also... I had a tape by a band called 86 out of Atlanta that were on some record label that had to do with moons or twilight or something. It was kind of like Joy Division meets Fugazi. I bought it at 7th Heaven in the $1 pile. Anyway... I'd like to find it. There was a song called 'Shade of Black' and that melody still haunts me to this day.

I lucked out on some other nostalgic stuff when I had an eMusic account. I had been looking for anything by McRad and the Drunk Injuns for years and could nto find them! I went to all sorts of music stores looked everywhere online and on a whim checked eMusic and they had them. Both were the records taht my friend had. It was Jr. High all over again. I jsut remember that both of these albums were in Thrasher as those "subscribe and we'll send this to you free" thing.

It's really amazing how much a melody or one part of a song can stick with you for years without even hearing it. I dug out some 4-track tapes from a long time ago and still remembered nearly all teh aprts and changes.
