Writer's Block
I haven't been as proficient at writing as I like to be. This is always frustrating. I know I need to write some new material but nothign seems to jump out. There's all sorts of music floating around, some it it recorded (at least in demo form) barely arranged and almost no words at all.
Most of my problem is the "Waiting for Inspiration." I just assume that the coolest lyrics will jsut come a whack me upside the head and that will be that. I want it to be so cool and fluid like I don't even try and this awesome stuff comes out. Once I get over that I think I do ok.
I've really been battling this. Just kind of moping around goofing around on various instruments and coming up with a lot of interesting music but no words. I felt kind of empty and hopeless. I searched on google for advice and then I realised that I just hadn't written anything. Not necesarily writing something but just putting pen to paper and writing some words. Some times it's the simplest things...
