My Throat is on Fire!

I started Friday realising that my allergy medication wasn't quite cutting it. Saturday it was pretty scratchy and I felt pretty bad Saturday night. Today I didn't even leave the house. I watched like three movies, tried to write some music with Nick and just finished organising the CDs. I feel like crap but I took a nap and didn't do anything so I'm just kind of awake and here typing things.

The CDs are very well organised though. I went through a bunch of unlabeled CD-Rs and found some good stuff. I currently ripping the CDs that don't have cases because a lot of them are looking pretty freaking bad. Try to preserve them as best as I can. I've also got a lot of stuff from my previous band and early his last chance stuff to rip as well.

Speaking of preservation... I went through a box of casettes a couple weeks ago when we were preparing for our garage sale. I found some of my old 4-track tapes! I borrowed Pat's 4-track machine and dumped them into SONAR. There's nothing exceptional but it's a cool thing to have around. A lot of songs that I was demoing and riffs that evolved into pretty good songs.

There was one diamond in the rough, a little ditty called "F**king the Mic." Ben Prater and I were at Experiment Gone Bad's practice space late one night and started screwing around. It's actually pretty cool in a lo-fi funky kind of way. I'll definitely bne making an mp3 of that soon.
