Ramblings From Justin Penney

I am so into playing drums lately. I've always liked playing them but now it's like an obsession. I moved Ryan's kit into the control room and I (try) to play along with songs at least an hour a day. I've also been recording them alot. I'm working on a song for a song writing thing on a messageboard and have been working on it everyday. Playing to the click track, trying to get the fills I wanted down trying to add to the music instead of just beat on the things. I got an ok one down tonight and so far it's a keeper but man... it's frustrating that it's taken me 3 days to get drums down for one 2:00 song when Ryan or Kyle could come in and nail it in one or two takes. I guess that's why they are drummers and I just beat on the drums sometimes.
