Ramblings From Justin Penney

I can't stand Kevin Eubanks' playing in the Tonight Show Orchestra. He's defintiely a great guitarist and has a lot of history and credentials but his playing on the Tonight Show never seems appropriate and often sounds like it's not even in the same key. It seems like the rest of the group starts playing something and he just starts wanking on the guitar.

I do love the Max Weinberg 7. Very appropriate when they play and obviously awesome players. Its' especially strange how no part of Max moves the entire time he's playing. Always has the shit eating grin and just a flurry of arms. Mark Pender is great to watch too. It's always a treat to watch his head turn red and veiny.

That last sentence came out way different than I expected.
